Tailz

so true...i hate people telling me what I am and am not capable of. One of my biggest pet peeves i hate people that judge before they get to know you. let the jerks think what they want about you.;)I love Paris! Make sure you take those trips you've always dreamed of, they will change who you are!
Having a fan-fucking-tastic day. Had my eye poked horribly by trees and shit before 7am! People are pissing me off. Productive day is nill. So I'm collecting images and posting them in a blog. Because I Bloody can! That and I can relate to them. My art is related to my emotions so therefore this is me researching some art that I can relate to that I could possibly do for my final project. See what I did there?
G E N I U S
Art is a way of expressing yourself to the world. How do I want people to see me? Mostly cool calm and collected, as well as witty weird and wise. Don't think me a pushover though, I will stand up and I will say what needs to be said.

High school Photoshop works

I used to play and fiddle around with Photoshop back in high school. Created some many cool and wacky different things. Some of the set tasks I went beyond what was assigned for instance the globe in the eyes photograph is a series of panaroma that the teacher wanted us to turn into a globe I took it a step further by adding it with a close up of someone's eye and blending it into where the eye ball would be. I aso had a light filter to give it the sparkle effect.

Other images I fiddled around with filters and such, moved their layout around to create mirror effects etc

I've done lots of work on Photoshop I guess. Normally I sat there in class not doing the actual set work and just fiddling with the Photoshop program.

3 Dimensional Art

3 dimension is having or seeming to have length, breadth, and height, which gives it a physical solid real look. 3-D art comes in many forms such as video games, video's, movies, images. Really there is no limit. Movies such as Toy Story 3, or games such as Tomb Raider and many others are example of 3-D art that have produced well.

These are generally created using computer software such as Cheetah3D for beginning/intermediate mac users of the Apple software, Electric Image Animation System (EIAS3D) is a 3D animation and rendering package available on both Mac OS X and Windows. The popular film Pirates of the Caribbean and the television series Lost used the software.
A way of using 3-d art could be to take a photo of someone and using software transform it? Maybe. Or taking a panaramic photo of an area and using software turn it into a small globe that you can view on a cumputer where you can move the globe to look at the different scene of it.

Laurie Anderson

Is an artist in the Electronic Art movement, as a musician and artist. She is known to combine these two in her projects and during installation plays music that connects to the theme of her art. For example her 'Delusion Album' is a visual compilation of images that are different to the last one and do not exactly relate, there is an image of herself or a relation to her within a shaped blue silhouette, or her first image which is of satin fabric, ghost ships etc. During these images she plays brooding deep music reminiscent of Tibetan temple horns and Arabic strings played using an electronically enhanced violin. This pays tribute to emotions such as longing, identity and memory.
This is a creative way of using electronic media to connect with art, the violin encompasses feelings associated with the image and let's the viewers feel how they should be seen.
She is a performance artist!
From this I could incorporate her idea to use music to help display the message of what my art could be seen. During a slideshow of images I could use songs that relate to the theme playing in the background.
So instead of printing my art as my installation I could create a media of slide show or movie and apply music to the background.

Electronic Art

So electronic art is the form of art using technology. Incorporating electronic media more broadly referred to as electronic art… Electrifying! This relates to media, information art, new media art, video art, digital art, interactive art, internet art, and electronic music. It uses visually generated art by computers mostly, this includes electronic media such as camera’s, video camera’s and using items related to technology. Program's such as Adobe Photoshop come to mind, but then again there is also video games that are art themselves, such as EA (Electronic arts) which is the creator one of the most popular computer games to date Sims.
I need to re-interpret a work of art from another artist (still or moving image, either historical or contemporary) into a new work that is representative of another period (Distinct movement or style) using electronic media.
Based from this I want to photograph my friend similar to Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe using my electronic media (Camera) and represent her in another period using Photoshop. Another period or movement could be Abstract the image, use mediums on Photoshop to create a water paint image etc.
Personally the form of electronic art I have keen interest in is photography. Doing video's or really 3 dimensional forms of art kind of make me hesitant, they seem rather complicated and out of my skills. That's not to say I won't try them, could I possibly make a 3D stick figure do a little dance as an art form, I've seen no really participated in myself, programmes that allow you to create these little stick figures and create a sequence of actions. I could also incorporate the audio form of electronic art by applying a sound o the background or a song.

Ted Jr 'Turn the world Inside out'

More or less I want to base my project inspired by him with my passion about education, the middle school. What I want to do is to take portrait images of students (Not to sure how many, the more the merrier) from each and every middle school in Darwin in their school uniform and allow them to have a quote or saying that I will type onto the image. Because in my studies about middle schools there is an issue of 'Identity', students want to have this. But I've found that this gets distorted and teachers and professionals think that when they talk about identity they talk about the career choice a student wants to represent. In my experience I've learnt that this is not the case, Identity to students means how they present themselves to the world today, how they dress, how they act, what social norms they do like basketball etc, what music they listen to. So I want them to express this by a quote or a song lyric or something that I will type onto the photo. To present this I was either thinking about making a photo album poster book or large scale posters that I might put around the place. The final presentation can still be worked on. I could create a video using a song as a music background a it slides across each student and their quote. Need to research more and different ways to present this project in Electronic Media.
